Welcome to Sneak Peek Sunday for May 5!

Last week, I got great news… Book 2 of my contemporary western romantic suspense series Colton Gamblers, is being released early! Gambling On A Heart comes out July 1 instead of September 2 as it was scheduled orginally.

In Gambling On A Secret (book 1) we meet Tracy Quinn Parker and Sheriff Zack Cartwright. I fell in love with these two characters in Gambling On A Secret and knew I had to write their story…the series was born. Right now I have 6 books planned in the current series, a novela that will be set a few years in the future. And eventually I’d like to write the prequel set in 1865 – 1868… Well, I am a Star Wars fan so it seems fitting I’d write the prequel AFTER the current books…LOL! But I promise to do a better job than George Lucus did with his prequel.

Okay, enough of that… Here’s my six. Set up: Zack and his year old daughter Mandy are at the wedding of Charli and Dylan Quinn. Zack’s the best man, Tracy (Dylan’s sister and the woman Zack once loved) is the maid of honor….

Mandy tilted her head to the side. “Was your wedding like this one?”Sara Walter Ellwood, Gambling On A Heart, contemporary western roamnce, romantic suspense, cowboy romance, Texas romance,

“No, not exactly. Your momma and I got married by the minister of your grandma’s church in the living room of her house. The only guests were close family.”

“Then you went to the war as a Marine?”

He forked up a bite of barbecued beef. “Yep.”

Two days after marrying Lisa on her parents’ Wyoming ranch, he’d shipped off for boot camp in San Diego. He’d joined the Marines after Nine-Eleven, giving up the rodeo forever.

“Do you still miss Momma?”

.

Let’s just say–Zack is one confused cowboy right now…..
