Sneak Peek Sunday

Sneak Peek Sunday Banner, cowboy, contemporary western, romance, suspense.

Welcome to the first official Sneak Peak Sunday!!!  To find other sneak peeks check out the list HERE.

.

This comes from my current WIP A Family for Jesse…

We pick up a little later in the story from last week. Micki goes back home to Texas after giving Gabe the news. Jesse is his ten-year-old half brother, and Micki’s nephew… Yep this is one heck of a cluster… Well, you get the idea.

.

Micki nodded. “Yeah, I found him in Kansas City.”

Jesse swallowed and glanced at his feet. “He ain’t coming home, is he?”

She fought the urge to correct his bad grammar and pulled him to her. “He’ll be here, Jesse.”

“Gabe never liked me.”

Pulling back, she held him and met his gaze. “That’s not true, and you know it. But Gabe’s also got commitments.”

“Our dad’s dead. That should mean somethin’.” He stepped out of her embrace and ran down the stairs.

.
